We are looking for homes around this area. I was wondering if it is realistic to drive to metropark in the morning to get into the city if the home was by Raritan Road/Clark Border. It says it is about 15 min but with traffic around Woods Ave, I am wondering if that will tack on 10-15 min.
Also, any information about the elementary schools or district of scotch plains would be greatly appreciated!

It'd definitely be more than 15 minutes- closer to 30 in rush hour. Going to the Rahway station would likely be a little shorter.

It's doable, but Rahway is much closer and has plenty of parking.

Scotch plains has a good school district. Fanwood has a train station.

From that area you are probably looking at 20-30 minutes. I'm in the northern part of Edison, sort of in between that area and Metropark and using the "back way" it takes me 10-15 minutes to get to Metropark. Wood avenue is a total mess in the morning and I would avoid it at all costs. Is Rahway really closer? Also, how is the parking at Rahway? I go to Metuchen now but sometimes the NEC is all fouled up and I have taken a cab/gotten a ride to Rahway to catch one of the coast trains. Always left my car at Metropark/Metuchen though cause I have no idea of the parking at Rahway.
