Probably a long shot here but just wondering if anyone takes the #89 NJ Transit bus daily in the morning to the Hoboken PATH from the Union City area. I've begun looking for a new place to live and this bus line seems to be every 30 min and I'm concerned that the bus is packed by the time it hits 35th and 36th st on Park Ave. I dont want to be missing buses and be late to work because of packed buses. Thanks!

I used to take this bus (or the 126) down to the path station from 14th St. in Hoboken. There's usually always a seat. What I don't like about the 89 is it does stop frequently because people are getting off at almost every stop before the path station. :P

Never took the 89, but I looks like a long trip to the path since there are a lot of stops. Did you know that a 2 zone bus pass is valid on the light rail too? Might look into taking the 89 to the light rail. Also, there are 2 lines on the light rail. One takes you to hoboken path, the other stops at Pavonia and exchange place paths. So you can catch on every 4 or so minutes doing rush hour. Also, it is a MUCH faster trip than the bus. If you work in midtown, you can just take the 89 to the 126 in hoboken. Proabably a 2 zone monthly that is only $98 right now.
