Best commute from Paramus to Midtown NYC? (Hackensack, Maywood: move to, station) - New Jersey (NJ) - City-Data Forum

Hi!

Need your expert advise for a best way to commute from Midland & Forest Ave at Paramus to midtown manhattan.

168 though the most convenient, takes more than an hour, which is the reason I want to look for better options.

The other option I tried was to park in Maywood and take 163.

Another option is to park at Anderson Street station at Hackensack and take the train.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Far as I'm aware, 1hr commute (Paramus to NYC) is best you are going to get.

Going into work earlier or coming into work later (flextime) to avoid rush hour traffic is the only way to cut down on commute time from Paramus to NYC. That's the advice my wife was given from a guy that's been commuting for a decade when we were looking at which NJ town to move to.
