We're moving to NH later this year and looking to buy a house in Windham. We noticed a number of homes on Wilson Rd (near Pelham border) that appeal to us, but they've been on the market a while. Does anyone know about any problems with that neighborhood? Water quality issues? Plans to build a new development nearby? Anything?

Thanks for your help!

there are a couple projects scheduled - one is a 26 acre, 11 lot subdivision on Wilson Road.
(Top of Presidential Estates)

nothing detrimental that I know of. One thing to consider is that there are wetlands in that area and maybe residents had problems with flooding when we got excessive amounts of rain.

Default Flooding

Buck Naked, thanks a lot for the response. You may be right about the flooding. Has that been an issue in Windham in general?

The Presidential estates folks have been there for along time and are first time homeowners. The economy is affecting there willingness to sell for way less than those homes are worth. Thus, them not selling to those that are looking to get a "deal" . That is a really nice quiet neighborhood close to schools and they have not come up for sale often.
