I would like to ask for an advise about the commuting time from Windham (Golden Brooks school) to the Nashua (to Pennichuck square shopping center) in rush our time. Is it 20 min, 30 min or longer? I heard that the road is narrow, and there may be a slow traffic on a bridge? My spouse will be working in Boston area so Windham seems to be a good place for us to live.
Thank you

It depends. It will take you around 15-20 minutes to the center of Hudson, near "the bridge". Then another 10-15 thruogh Nashua and over to your destination. I would say 35-40 minutes average.

Bri is just about spot-on for time, using that route. I'm thinking about 40 minutes, maybe a smidge more. There will be school buses traveling along Rte. 111 in Windham and in Hudson. The bridge is ALWAYS an issue, and Pennichuck is Sq. is all the way through all the traffic lights on 101A, practically at the Merrimack, Amherst, Nashua line. Granted, you'll be going against the traffic, but there are quite a few traffic lights along 101A...

A route that I often take when I need to get from Windham to Amherst in a hurry is a shortcut that dumps onto Lowell Road in Hudson, then travel north on 3 and get off at Exit 7. Sometimes the shortest time traveled between two points is NOT as the crow flies. No school bus stops along Lowell Road (3A) to deal with.... I'm thinking 30ish minutes using this route.

Thank you very much for the responses! Two more questions.
1. What time do the school buses start operating?
2. How will the new bridge between Londonderry and Bedford affect traffic on Route 111 (between Windham and Hashua)? (if at all?) I think it will be completed by 2012?
