After umpteen delays we are finally back in NH in Deerfield and have only been here 3 days and have met the nicest people already. Finally got the computer back up and running and relief to be here is an understatement. I think I also brought the ungodly heat and humidity with me on my coattails. Wait a few days and it will change. It was worth the wait and hassle to finally be "home".
I'm sorta new here WIMU. Where did you come back to NH from, and how long were you gone? I remember feeling the same way when I moved back from St. Louis Missouri (or STL, Misery as we called it) back in 2001...
How fun would it be for the city data forum posters to get together and have like a welcome home/meet and greet gathering? I have a few people I just want to hug.
Valerie C We lived here from 1988-2001 and moved to the Cincinnati area. Have family out here and in Wisconsin and thought it would be somewhat in between but hated the Cincy area--too many of the same things-- same stores, same restaurants, same houses, row after row of houses--500 in some developments, 1000 in others, loved to show off their houses and cars. It was way too hot there for too long and then rained all winter. It just feels like home here--my grown kids feel the same way as they grew up here. Katlakat--would be a good idea meet and greet.
Wow, you could have been talking about St. Charles County, MO where we were from 1998 till 2001. It took us quite awhile to become acclimated to subdivision life, with their wonderful homeowner association rules (not for these New Englanders!) I did like the shorter winter, but with summer starting in late April, ending in October with scattered tornados and hailstorms throughout, enough was enough...
