What's your favorite place to eat in Lincoln?? I lived there for a few years and now I barely remeber what I liked about it. I guess if I had to pick I would say Lazlo's. Any thoughts?

I love Lee's Restaurant and think they have the best fried chicken I've ever tasted.

Valentino's. Best spaghetti I have ever had. There's one on 70th and Van Dorn, and I believe another on Vine over by East Campus. Of course I haven't been up there in about 3½ years, so I at least hope they're still there.

Yanno, I try to support Lincoln's locally-owned restaurants and businesses. But to be honest, I'm rather disappointed with the selection. I visited pretty much all the restaurants in downtown Lincoln and many other areas, and I feel the food is often mediocre for what you pay. Yia Yia's has a good concept, but it is way too overpriced for a pizza that's really not that impressive. Same goes for De Leon's. Love the drive thru, but the food is low quality. These places definitely add to Lincoln's reputation as being a laid-back area (not in a good way) with low expectations. It seems like what most Lincolnites, of all ages, consider good cuisine here in Lincoln is often a place with a bar. I don't get why you would be crazy about a place like Buffalo Wild Wings unless you are really just THAT whitetrash. I'm sorry.

The Highway Diner on Hwy2 and 24th st has some pretty good selections. Counter ordering sucks but they have decent food. Real mashed potatoes are hard to find in cheaper places but they have them. Good breakfasts and one of the best Chicken Fried steaks anywhere. Their Chili ain't bad either. Less than $10 and you won't go home hungry. Not bad for a greasy spoon.

Few places I haven't tried yet that I'm curious about:

- Blue Orchid
- The Oven
- DISH

Can someone give me a review of those places?

Blue Orchid- Closed

The Oven-Wasnt bad. I think we went on a bad night, it was extremely busy and the majority of are food was either overcooked or lukewarm. The food was good despite the problems. ( Have you tried The Peacock? Very good and it has a buffet so you can really try alot of diiferent things)

Dish- I have personally never been there
