Hi, my family is moving to the Omaha area and we are looking for nice, family friendly neighborhood in the suburbs. We really like the looks of Papillion and Gretna, but are open to other areas around there.

One thing we would really like is a lot size of 1/3 - 1/2+ acre and a 4-5 bedroom house. Trees would be nice, but not a deal breaker for us.

Does anyone have have any suggestions? Thanks!

Highway 370 runs West-East from Gretna to Papillion, which are both pretty nice areas. However, if you are looking for a little bit more room and privacy, I would recommend you check out Springfield or Louisville, which are about 10-15 mins south of Highway 370 (between Papillion and Gretna). There aren't a lot of subdivisions per se, but you can find some nice homes for sale that meet your criteria which gives you more of a country feel but still be close to Omaha. That is what we did and we are very happy.

And they are also among the best places to live in the US according to many national publications. The entire state is conservative.
