I just saw this after I last posted. It's true, you could do that. I guess the only reason not to would be that you are required to provide your own transporation to an open-zoned school, which means you (then your child, after he/she gets a license) would drive from a R'wood neighborhood to B'wood at least twice a day. A majority of neighborhood friends might attend a different school than your child, although that happens with private school kids anyway. It would be more of a lifestyle issue at that point.

Good post WSMN. Brentwood is not about "keeping up" with anyone else. I hear more people talking about coupon shopping or consignment sales than high end purses or vacations.
I don't think FHS is subpar, nor have I ever said that. I agree with the other posts in this thread that BHS zoning tends to be more stable, and that seems to be a big concern for you.

That places a better light on the situation Wmsm. Interesting that a Franklin address was involved when the issues started in the Ravenwood (Brentwood) Zone. What happens in another decade or so? These schools may be empty with changing demographics! Do they currently have portables at BHS, Ravenwood or FHS?

Franklin has a fairly new building, and I don't know of any portables. B'wood just opened a new wing this year - no portables that I've seen. Ravenwood does have some, maybe four. I'm not sure of the number.

Franklin and R'wood both have beautiful, newer, impressive buildings. Brentwood was built in 1982 is not as "lovely" to look at, though it is in a gorgeous little valley. Just some "visual context."
