I am sorry (knowing full well this has been answered 200,000 times before) for asking such a general question.

I am going to be a single guy, living in about 600-800 sqft downtown (or just outside) Nashville. I was curious what I could expect my average costs to be if my rent was $800 (heating, internet etc)

Thanks so much!

Well, You can never really estimate costs, Electric depends on how much you wash clothes, how many times a day you shower, cook, what temp you keep on the thermostat, ect, ect.

Internet, You can get a internet/cable bundle right now from comcast for like $70/mo. or so..

If your rent was $800, I'd estimate that for rent, electric, and cable you'd prob. pay somewhere around $1,000/mo. give or take.

Thanks Ryan - that's the general sort of figure I was looking for. I am a conservationist so I use very little electric/water.
