What is the normal cost of living in nashville? Me and my spouse is strongly leaning towards moving to nashville around august and was wanting opinions from people who live in nashville

I think it will depend on where you are moving from.

For us we got a house that is twice as large for significantly less than what we sold our house for, our car insurance dropped even though we upped our coverage and added a second car.

However, we had to buy a 2nd car when we moved here because we were public transportation/walkers. Also our travel expenses went way up because there is no such thing as a $250 ticket to London out of Nashville.

Food costs are lower, but when we first moved here finding organic was a bit harder. Now it is pretty easy to get all our food local/organic.

I moved down from northern Illinois. Gasoline, electricity & real estate taxes are cheaper. Houses are a lot cheaper. Dining out is a little cheaper. Water is more expensive. Everything else is about the same.

You can get organic food at Publix and Kroger now. It's everywhere.

I feel it's substantially lower In the Nashville region than most any other areas.
