My family and I will be moving from Southern CA to Mt. Juliet in the Summer (my husband will actually be there on Friday to start looking for a home to purchase). I am being transfered with my job and my husband is a stay at home Dad. My concern is for my kids - we have a 3 1/2 son, 6 son and 8 daughter. My daughter has many friends and has been very active in Girl Scouts.

Firstly, congratulations on moving to Mt. Juliet. It is a wonderful area, and you will love it.
About scouting, you'll probably want to check out some of the local churches. I think that is where most of the troops in the area are based. That's where mine was when I was involved. The
Boy Scout and
Girl Scout websites will probably have more specific info. If they like being on the water, be sure to check out the local
Sea Scout Ship . This is co-ed and for 14+, so you'll have a little while for that. That's actually my father's scout group.
So, just scout around...pun intended...and you'll find the groups that best fit your kids. I'm a big believer in all of the scouting programs.
