Kentucky, thank you for your insightful and extremely helpful post. Please make sure you continue to share this useful information. Thanks so much for joining.

OP, if you don't have to worry about schooling for kids, you could live in Nashville and commute to Smyrna. You'd have a reverse commute and it wouldn't be that bad.

Did you end up moving in? I just signed my lease last weekend. It's located on West Sam Ridley Parkway (over I-24). Of course, you probably knew that given that your post is over 4 months old.

We recently moved to Smyrna from Florida and we really enjoy it. It is just the right combination for us a nice small town convienent to everything without the nasty traffic you might find in Nashville. My husband works in Nashville and it is an easy drive (20 to 25 min). Mary Moon helped us out quite a bit (Thanks Mary). I would suggest directing questions toward her. As far as other areas I cannot tell you much.

Thanks for the 'shout out.' Not to hijack the thread, but I was wondering about you guys the other day and was planning to go back into my DM's to get in touch with you. Glad to see you got settled in and like the area! It grows on you out here and your development is top notch. A good friend of mine has a lot there and is dying to build but she has to sell her current house first. We're over there all the time visiting friends or looking thru homes under construction. Did you get your child in at SCE or go private? Feel free to DM me...
