I agree with Scott that price is going to limit you. There are homes under $200K in Williamson County, but they will be tract homes built on former pastureland. When I read "forested" in your post, I thought of the High Point Ridge Road and Barrel Springs Hollow Road area off Highway 96 because those are what we call Gatlinburg-type homes, on wooded, hilly lots, but they have gone up a lot and start in the $300Ks now. Fairview might be an option. If you relax one of your must-haves, you could make it work. But this is a great place to live, with a growing support network for home-schoolers.

Because I'm new to the forum and thought it was recent. It had been hijacked by someone looking for any old Franklin posts on which to air a grudge. They posted a comment, which brought it to the top of the list, and I answered too quickly. Didn't check the date.
