My son has been looking and appying for customer service Jobs in the Nashville Area. It can be any of the areas surrounding Nashville.
He has a Job now in Customer Service, but his company has no headquarters here and he has put his life on hold because he wants to be here near his parents(nashville) and sister who goes to college and lives in Murfreesboro. Recently we have used my nashville address on his applications, but so far no luck. He intends to go back to college at night, once he moves here. He did start, but didn't finish.
Does anyone Know any companies hiring for this position?
More than ever now, I need to get him out of the NY area.

Verizon Wireless and Dell will probably hire him today for call center jobs. If by some fluke that doesn't work out, it shouldn't take him long to find a customer service job if he goes down the list of temp agencies in town and calls them all. Good luck.

He has called every Agency, such as Addeco and Wood Personal. He started this search a few months ago. He will re-apply for Verizon. I thought Dell was laying people off. Some that he's received work from required that you lived in the state for 2 years, we have, but he hasn't. One said he had to start right away, but he does need to give 2 weeks notice at his present job. I sure wish they had an office here, because its a nice company. They have been expanding to other states . They are a Chicago based company.

Diane - He needs to apply with Verizon Wireless in Murfreesboro. They have a huge call center here. THe phone number he needs to call is 1-800-575-HIRE. I am sure they would hire him.

Steve, Thanks so much! I could never find a number for them, and they never answer the emails.

Diane, a friend of mine applied with Verizon and was offered a job. Luckily she found something in Nashville so she wouldn't have to travel too far as she is in Robertson County. It took a little over a month before they contacted her about an interview after she emailed her resume.

Just wanted you to know that some employers aren't responding right away.

Diane - There is also a T-Mobile Customer Service call center in Nashville near Grassmere. I don't have a number for them, but I am sure you could find out where to fax or apply on Careerbuilder or Monster.

Diane,

There are patient rep positions and the like listed at St Thomas Hospital (and Vanderbilt probably has some too). These seem similar to customer service rep positions and usually hospital positions have good benefits.

Good luck!
