I'm a conservative Christian guy considering moving to Nashville in the near future. Coming from Seattle I'm looking for more sun, more conservatives, lower cost of living, friendlier folks, Christian women, etc. I'm originally from Idaho, so Seattle has been quite a shock for me.

Could someone please provide their input as to whether this could be a good move as it relates to the above criteria? And what are the prospects for single, Christian women 25-35?

I'm also considering Denver, Charlotte, and Dallas, so if you have any comments about those areas, please feel free to share!

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like Nashville would meet most of your criteria.

Yeah, lots of Christian girls here for you...definitely...you'll love it here. Has a big contemporary Christian scene here...Michael W. Smith lives here, Amy Grant...that scene is big here...much bigger than most other US cities I can think of. If that's what you're looking for then Nashville is your place...google "Kairos Brentwood" and "Loop Nashville" these are the big Christian single group get togethers here.

Yeah, it sounds like you would like the Nashville area. It would meet the needs/wants you described. I think Charlotte is a pretty nice city too; it's somewhat similar to Nashville in size and "feel".

You might even like our weather better, even though it is very hot and summer in mid-summer. I have a good friend in Seattle and we e-mail daily. Most of the time it's nicer here than in Seattle. I tease her about it ten months out of the year, then she gets back at me in July and August when it's so hot here, but relatively mild in Seattle.

I do not see you having any problem at all in Nashville. I think there are plenty of women who fit your description. It would all be a matter of finding the right one. But hey, I found my wife here. Just be picky and never settle.

Thanks Steve, Scott, Mike, and Alley! I appreciate the feedback. Especially helpful were the singles group locations. There is nothing like that here in Seattle, at least groups that size! Very encouraging.

I work in Finance (Treasury, specifically), so if anyone hears of openings I would be grateful if you would pass along any opportunities. I've already talked to a couple of recruiters in the area.

Thanks again...Clint

There are a number of financial services firm located in the Nashville area, such as Caterpillar Financial.

There are also a number of VERY LARGE community churches in the area. Gosh, if you can't meet the woman of your dreams there you ain't trying. There's one out in my neighborhood called the Bellevue Community Church: Bellevue Community Church - Home I think they have everything but an 18-hole golf course.
