If you like Chinese food, Chef Wang's in Murfreesboro is good... just past Demo's a few doors. It's hubby's favorite place for crab legs!

I think it's expensive for a Chinese buffet, but Chef Wang's certainly has plenty of choices and the quality is usually good.

Golden Eagle on Thompson Ln - in shopping center next to GFS. You pick what you want to eat and they cook it all up together with your choice of starch - kind of like a stir fry I guess. Have eaten there a few times and enjoyed it!

Haven't had the chance to try Demos' yet - was supposed to go for boyfriend's birthday but ended up getting sick

In Murfreesboro I would definitely go to Bangkok Cafe, the best Thai Food in the state!

Kleer Vu has the best Soul Food. Milano's has amazing Italian. Sir Pizza for (what else) Pizza!

I also like Bonefish Grill. I've yet to have any issues with their food or service. Well, one time they did give my take-out order to someone else by mistake. They gladly gave me the other person's order, my order, and four coupons for complimentary Bam-Bam Shrimp for free! Yeah, they rock!

As far as the Vandy area, I would head to International Market. It's closer to Belmont, but they have great food. The lady who owns it, her brother ran Sala Thai that use to be on West End. If you like Indian, Sitar is a good restaraunt. I also recommend Mafioso's... they have amazing Italian and "brick-oven" pizza.

I'll second that recommendation. It's a chain, but it's not like you can find it everywhere.

Mimi's Cafe at the Avenue on Medical Center is a casual family restuarant. They give huge portions and have the best bread and muffins. The kids love it there.

Ok, well, I missed you already, since it is now July 2, but we all hope you had a good stay here.

I will plug 2 places in Murfreesboro if you return: one is a shamless but sincere plug for Moe's Southwest Grill (I am the owner, so I am highly biased) that is in between Carabbas, Pei Wei, 5 Guys, and Jason's Deli (next to Jason's really) on Thompson Lane.

The other is my favorite local Japanese food: Sushin. It is right by us facing Thompson Lane. Song Park is the owner, and is a super nice guy. Best looking and best tasting Bento boxes I've witnessed, and great sushi as well.

If you go in, tell Song that I said "hello".

Moe's is a franchise, so you can think what you want of franchises, but Sushin is a true local restaurant, and we need to support the locals.

Happy Eating all!

Scott Portis
