Sorry for a lot of background info but I think it helps ...Ok I’m from New York City. Queens. Spent most my time in Williamsburg brooklyn and I love the city. However the high rent and stress drove me out because I wanted to be able to focus on school and finish my nursing degree.

My friend convinced me to move to Atlanta. I had my doubts. The south is beautiful I’ve visited Savannah Charleston lots of charming places but just Knew it wasn’t for me especially coming from New York. She convinced me it’s not like the rest of Georgia it’s the New York of the south it would be so easy to find a husband here and have a family.

Anyways I went for it because if anything at least I could easily finish school there and not have to worry about paying a sky high rent each month.

I moved to Atlanta right before the pandemic and wasn’t Impressed. The scenery dating downtown anything ..I stayed though because my rent was cheap I had a decent job and I was focused on school.

Then my school closed because of the virus.

I know I wouldn’t move back to New York until I get my Rn

But I want to relocate out of Atlanta ASAP and finish school elsewhere
Any thoughts on Nashville ? Good areas ?

Or do you have any other suggestions for other cities ?

I’m in my mid twenties female I prefer a little faster pace excitement .. I’m looking to rent an apartment not buy a home or anything .

I'm sorry she told you that Atlanta is the NY of the South.

What is your rental budget?

If you didn’t like Atlanta, I am not so sure you would like Nashville.

That's doable but harder to find in Nashville, where the average rent for a 1-bedroom (less than 900 sq feet) is just over $1400/month.

Atlanta metro area has more than 5 million people.

Nashville has about 1.2 million (this number includes surrounding counties). I've heard people say Nashville is like the biggest small town you've ever been in.

When you say faster paced, what are you imagining?

It’s just temporary til I go back to new York and ok faster pace is bad choice of words bc everywhere else is slow to me . Maybe exciting fun ?

So ... do you need to be going to nursing school during that time? I'm just kinda confused about why the move would be temporary and which priorities are most important to you.

Are you still hoping to find a husband before you go back to NY?

Im asking if anyone had suggestions on if Nashville or any other city that would be a good fit for someone who likes New York the energy the business the excitement the vibe

My priorities are set. I would like to go to school somewhere where I’m comfortable and like. Just because I like the excitement fast pace doesn’t mean I’m out partying if that makes sense

Temporary bc I know I’ll end up to New York unless I meet someone and have a family in Nashville or wherever I am bc honestly if I find someone to settle down with that I love and can have kids with i really dont mind where I am . But because I’m alone no family it’s important for me to like an area if that makes sense

Thanks for your help
