Hi guys!

I'll be traveling through Nashville in a few months and was wondering if anyone can tell me about the Antique Archeology store in Nashville. Just wondering if there is anything that normal people can buy there or is it just a tourist stop?

Although it gets busloads of tourists, it's definitely a retail store "for anyone." But I was surprised at how expensive some of the stuff was.

Yes, I already looked at their website. All that is for sale on it is tv show memorabilia.

Do you have any personal experience with the store?

We visited last year and were extremely disappointed. Very little to buy. Some AA merchandise, dimly lit. Looked like most of the overpriced items had been there awhile. All their good stuff is not there and no info on how to get any of the items seen on TV. Line to get in. One good thing, the little retail warehouse where they are located is cute and hopefully has more shops now. Not necessarily a must see. Just don't go expecting much.

Thanks Patsy9 and Birdiebell--

I live in Las Vegas, and I guess it's kine of like the Pawnstars. They used to be a good pawn shop (before the tv show) but now, it's big lines and the only stuff that's priced normal is junk. I think we'll pass.

My current favorite is West Main Antiques in Franklin (about 20 minutes south of Nashville). If you Google “Franklin TN antiques” you’ll find quite a few cool shops worth a visit.

The main drag in Goodlettsville, just north of Nashville proper, has quite a few antique stores and antique malls. It's just off I-65 so is easy to access, too.
