I am new to this so forgive me if I do not give enough detail.
We are looking to relocate to Nashville (or surrounding areas) next spring (09).
We have a child who will be finishing middle school and heading to high school. We are interested in the High school of Performing Arts.
We are fairly certain we want a condo/townhouse in the $150k range.
We are trying to decide what areas are in that range, relatively safe, and good for kids.
Any advice you guys wanna give would be greatly appreciated!

ps, moving from NH

If you want to be within a reasonable distance of the school, you might look in the Donelson area (or along Lebanon Pike), or possible the Berry Hill area north of Thompson Lane. There are other areas I could suggest, but in some of them you would have a hard time finding anything for $150K. Or if you can stand to be further away from the school there are other areas we could suggest.

I assume you know you have to sign up for any of the magnet school programs months in advance.

Allycat, thanks for the info. I had not heard of the Donelson area.
We were thinking of the Performing Arts High School. Any thoughts on that one?

Allycat, LOL sorry about my last post. I realized after that I already mentioned the PAHS.
I guess we'd wanna be in a nice neighborhood not too far. A little drive is ok. Maybe one with parks and places to walk.
