Wow, spent a little time there yesterday, other than it being hotter than Hades, that area is a 10 out of 10, IMO. Ate at 55 South, Ice cream at Kilwins, lots of eclectic shops. Live street performance near Mellow Mushroom that was outta the park. Free 4 hour parking. Just an awesome place. Well done Franklin!

It hooked me, too, enough so that I moved here. For those few blocks. It used to be MORE eclectic and I think it needs to be careful not to be like every place else. The theater is a great asset - wonderful intimate place to see shows (AND movies!)

I love Franklin! We live in Hendersonville but go down there quite a bit and I always take people visiting there as well. Very charming

It's a great place, with a "small town feel". However, wait till you try and attend one of the many year round festivals they host downtown. It becomes VERY claustrophobic and crowded. It's no doubt a great area, but as with most of nashville, when an event happens in the area, it's immediately hard to navigate through the downtown with how much traffic there is (foot traffic included).
