Yeah, I know its not that bad in Mt. Juliet. I was talking I-65 & I-24 all the way out.

How much of an effect does summer break for the local school systems really have on traffic times and patterns in the morning? Has anyone really noticed?

For downtown - none. And it is about to get worse with all the tourist descending.

Yeah I don't notice any difference downtown. I meant for people commuting from the outskirts/suburbs into downtown. I live in Mt. Juliet but commute downtown via Lebanon Road and the last couple weeks the traffic flow has seemed a little lighter between 8 and 8:30.

You may drive a couple miles before the usual backup begins. By the time you get to Briley or I-440 you don't notice much change. In the PM you may find fewer cars coming from Vandy but the medical center stays just as busy.

Biggest change is you don't have to worry about the 15mph school zones. Also less traffic with no school bus, no parents taking students to school, etc.
