My family and I are moving to the area in June. We'd like to buy eventually but will rent to start out with. We're looking at Murfreesboro, and Smyrna / La Vergne area. We've driven around Murfreesboro but aren't familiar with the Smyrna area. What is it like? Is it nice? Crime? We're coming from Virginia so aren't familiar with the area at all.

If you are looking at LaVergne, the west side of I-24 is the "NOT Lake Forest" side.
