Hi there...I have a client asking me about a few schools in the M'boro and Smyrna areas and I'm just not familiar with them enough to offer any information. Can you provide your opinions of and/or experiences with any of the following?:

McFadden School of Excellence
Erma Siegel Elementary
Blackman Elem.
Stewart Creek Elem. – Symrna
John Pittard Elem.

Thank you so much! I enjoy our community here!

My husband and I just toured Erma Siegel Elem and Blackman. Both seemed nice, but the principal at Blackman really impressed us. Very dynamic woman who seems to truly value getting input from students and teachers...she realizes this is the best way to get buy-in for her ideas. FYI, our tour at Erma Siegel was with staff, not the principal.

You've probably already thought of this, but the schools you list are on different calendars: "modified traditional" (like Blackman) or "alternative" (closer to year-round, like Erma Siegel). This can be an issue for multiple-child families, b/c you can end up with a child in elem on one schedule and a child in middle school on another.

Hope that's helpful.
