Sperry's or Jimmy Kelly's are pretty good suggestions. Maybe also The Palm or the Stock Yard Restaurant.

You might have a little trouble finding a nice place in that price range however (especially if you have wine or a cocktail with your dinner).

Personally, I like Ruth's Chris, but I think I remember you mentioning on another thread that you didn't want a chain restaurant (and RC would be quite a bit more than $25).

Tally another vote for the Stockyard. Get their 18oz KC Strip rare to extra rare and prepare your taste buds to be delighted. The ambiance is awesome too, much better than chain steakhouses like RC or Chop House.

You know I agree about the Saffire and Red Pony, but can she get it for her price range? If not, it's worth considering bumping it up!

J. Alexander's is very good too. I'm not a steak person, but my husband loves it.

kc, Stoney River does have good steaks however I think the OP was looking for something a little more affordable(i.e., $25/person range). I was at Stoney River two weeks ago and a meal for two, with tip, came to over $150. This consisted of a salad, steak, potato, and dessert for each person. We also had one bottle of an average priced wine.

Yeah, I suppose it may be a little pricey considering the price range needed.
