I think we are between Hermitage or Brentwood. We were looking at the landmark at glen view reserve? Any thoughts on Brentwood, I think we are leaning more towards that area as we like the central location and that it is still pretty affordable. Some really nice complexes are around 1,000-1,100. Anyone have suggestions on specific apartments around Brentwood? We will probably only live in the apartment for a year and get to know the area before buying a house in the likes of east nashville, Brentwood, hermitage areas. That is why we don't want to spend much, so me can save a good amount for down payment

If it were me and I was moving to a new town (and given how horrible traffic has become here). I would lean more towards Hermitage since your job is near the airport. I think the apartment complexes in Brentwood are actually in Davidson County off of Old Hickory Blvd. To me...that's more "Brentwood adjacent...sometimes called Brentioch". I had a friend that lived in Brentwood Downs over there...and then I had a friend that lived in Hermitage at Cherry Creek. Those are the only 2 complexes I could comment on. But, between the two I would pick Cherry Creek. There are many complexes in both areas though. Both areas have lots of grocery stores and chain restaurants too. The Brentioch complexes aren't as convenient to the interstate as the Hermitage ones. I'm sure either will work as a temporary home base until you get your bearings. The Landmark at Glen View is on Briley south of 40 (if I'm thinking correctly). Not a fantastic area...but it would be convenient.

Before you rent anything, at least look at the rental subdivision on Mt. View Road off of a Murfreesboro Road. In your price range you can rent a brand new 3 bedroom home with a two car garage, with all yard maintenance included. It's on Mt View Road less than 1 mile north of Murfreesboro road, just minutes from airport, lake, and shopping.
