It seems to be a tad early to have temps in the 90's . . . however the 4 years I have lived here have all summers/winters been quite different.

1. How are you keeping cool? I admit to hitting Sonic for their Slushie Happy Hour most every afternoon. You can take it home and keep it 'fresh' in the freezer for a while and add your own vodka . . .

2. What are you keeping your thermostat on? Mine is at 76 and downstairs is good, upstairs I am running the fan at night. So far, so good.

3. What was your last electric bill? Mine was a wonderfully surprising $54! (1500 sq ft house)

4. What time of day are you watering IF you are watering???

5. Best local tip for cooling off? A restaurant with serious A/C? A certain refreshing salad somewhere? A water feature open to the public? A cool summer cocktail - what & where?

1. I am more concerned about not freezing!! I HATE A/C and have to take a jacket everywhere I go. Walking around in 90F is heaven to me. Of course, I also lived in Phoenix and worked outside in the summers. I love hot.

2. My house is 79F both downstairs and upstairs. And I'm under the comforter at night.

3. Just got it - $93 for 3,100 sq. ft. Though probably a bit high since my dad and bro were here visiting so the house was a bit cooler than I usually keep it.

4. Water what? Grass? It rains!

5. See #1. I'm more about sitting on a patio somewhere.

I think it's a bit warm for June . . . maybe it's just the contrast to the longer winter. I have to water. Not enough rain to keep my plants from wilting, big time! Summer officially starts tomorrow I believe.

No, this is normal for June. Highs range from the mid 80s to mid 90s.

The average high/low for June is 86.0/65.4. Through the 19th, this year's average has been 86.0/67.0. Almost dead on.

The rainy days in the first 1/3 of the month were a little cooler. The weather now is just averaging things out.

Summer in Nashville starts when the kids get out of school.

I think this might have to do with the fact that winter/cool weather lasted so long this year that we barely had any spring season.

I can remember working River Stages several years ago when we were into the high 80's and some 90's in early May.
This hot weather doesn't seem abnormal to me.
