Don't sue me if this date turns out to be incorrect, but I got it from a "good source" that the Red Robin restaurant will open January 14, 2008. I noticed that they have "now hiring" signs up.

I just hope the food is as good as their web site makes it look!
Will definitely be a place our family will be visiting.

Also I searched this and didn't find it posted. If I missed it, my apologies.

There is a Red Robin in a new shopping Center off Medical Pky in Murfreesboro, TN. It recently opened.
I find them just ok, we had them where I used to live.
Also new shopping there at The Avenue

There used to be a Red Robin in Memphis, but it just couldn't make it and closed after a couple of years. I don't find them to be particularly amazing.

Wasn't it in Hickory Hood? probably why it didn't survive...

Yeah, it was in the Nashville Business Journal.

Yes, it was right by Hickory Ridge Mall. But rather than move to a better location like Red Lobster, Chili's, O'Charley's and the other fast-casual joints, it just closed down. If it were making money, I'm sure they would've moved with the other big chain restaurants rather than just abandon Memphis altogether.

I think its high prices and mediocre burgers are more to blame.

A bunch of us from work drove out by Mt Juliet to have lunch at the Red Robin in the Providence area. The food was WONDERFUL.

I've eaten at the Red Robins in Mt. Juliet and Murfreesboro. They always seem to be busy. I found them to be adequate, a bit pricey for what you get, but okay. The joints are usually busy, too. I'm yet to try Five Guys, out of D.C. There are current locations in Green Hills and soon to open West End among others. The great burger hunt continues. But, the best will always be at Rotier's, hands down at least in my book.

I love love love Five Guys! Not only are their burgers huge, juicy and delicious, but their fries are the best I've had on this continent. They're made the Belgian way (where French fries were invented).

However, now that Back Yard Burgers has moved its HQ from Memphis to Nashville I'm hoping they'll start expanding, too. I'll drive across town for a good BYB.
