I have lived in Wisconsin my entire life. It is cold but the people are very nice. Reverently I have been blessed with an excellent career opportunity and looking for insight on a possible move. The net has a wealth of information but personal stories tell a much better story.

What are the best areas for a single male to live? I enjoy biking, hiking, swimming, running and working out and the nighttime life. I would most likely rent then move to a condo

What are the property taxes like, sales tax and car registration?

How is the culture diversity of food? Chinese, Japanese, especially Sushi, and Mexican?

I know the area is known for Baptists, what is the population of Christian churches?

What organizations would you recommended for singles who will need to recreate a network of friends and support?

Give me the low down, best stories, horror stories, would you tell your best friend it is a great place to live?

Your insight is appreciated

I too am originally from Wisconsin, and though we have not moved yet, we have bought land a bit Northwest of Nashville and have made several trips and I know how friendly people in Wisconsin are, but I think it's safe to say that you will not find nicer people than those in TN. Everywhere we have stopped for gas, food, hotel, or whatever else, the people have always been so nice (this is a very nice change from living in S. Florida).

I have a couple of friends who have been in Nashville for overnight trips and have always had such a good time. I think when people are so polite, it's easy to meet people just doing what you normally do.

Good luck
