‘Nashville’ seeks extras for Bridgestone Arena scene

Posted on November 14, 2012 by Dave Paulson

Rayna James and Juliette Barnes are hitting the stage in Music City, and the producers of 'Nashville' want you to be in the audience. The ABC music drama is shooting a big concert scene at Bridgestone Arena on Tue., November 20, and needs volunteer extras - lots of them - to make up the crowd.
Extras won't be compensated, but there will be free food, prize giveaways, free parking - and "free concert performances" from James (played by Connie Britton) and Barnes (Hayden Panettiere).
Extras must be at least 18 years old and able to stay for the full day of filming, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. All extras are required to register at www.nashvilleextras.com, where you'll also find information on what to expect, what to wear, and parking details.

Considering most people are working at this time, they may not end up with the most "desirable" crowd in attendance.

I'd skip work to this. My ONE CHANCE at fame and fortune! They already filled up the first 'call' . . . . .

I think a lot of people would skip work for this..many will be off next week anyway. Too bad it's a day before I get into town!

It's Nashville...does anybody work a day job? I'm sure people can try hard to wake up before 11am to make time to participate!

They already solicited students from Vanderbilt days ago on the Vanderbilt news website. However, Vanderbilt will be on Thanksgiving break, but they'll probably get plenty of students anyway, as not all go home.
