Are you hitting the sauce this evening or what?

Um, don't drink and drive ANYWHERE. Side note - I would now almost rather have someone drinking and driving rather than texting and driving, if I had to chose. Any who, there are plenty of bars open until 4am all throughout. I've been here since late Feb and haven't met these "good ol church people" you and others often elude to.

There are plenty of grocery and Walmart's open 24hrs in and surrounding the Nashville area. The perception of this area being an "in bed by 8pm" type of mentality is exactly that - a perception; and perception does not equal reality.

Pick up an issue of the Nashville Scene that you can find most anywhere you go to have a cup of coffee or the like and thumb through it (I'm speaking to itsjustme) and you can find more than you're able to keep up with; involving variety from A - Z.

My wife and I just went to City House last week for the first time. I would definitely recommend it for your "nice" dinner you want as part of your plans. This place represents what Nashville now is an is becoming. They are very much into creating a dining experience. You will want to make reservations; as it seems that is how they like to operate things - which is cool by me. They change up their menu just enough, but not so much that you can't count on certain dishes. They follow the seasons and use a lot of locally grown stuff. They have dishes unique to just them that I had yet to ever experience - and we dined out a ton in Detroit before we moved here.

My wife has been kinda down lately with adjusting to the move (moved here 6 mths ago) and this place completely brightened her day. Don't know if you've checked it out yet, but here's their website: CITY HOUSE Nashville

Hover over the "C" for a drop down to stuff; including their menu.

We had an eggplant, parmezan something-something pizza with the option of an egg on top in the center that cooks to an over easy point. Something a little different we had yet to experience.

Hope you guys have a great time here. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask or message me.
