Hi everyone, my husband and I are close to making an offer in Hendersonville but we are a little unsure about the area. We are just not familiar with Hendersonville at all and we plan on only being in the house two years or so, so resale is very important to us. The house is located off of Saunders Ferry in the Candle Woods Subdivision (Section 4 if anyone is familiar with that). It is a well established neighborhood. The neighborhood is beautiful and well kept and the house was built in 2006. We are not sure if this is a declining area or still holding a good reputation. We are in our early 30's and expecting a baby so we really want a family friendly neighborhood with low crime. Any help would be appreciated.

My church is next to the Candle Woods subdivision! Its a very nice neighborhood with very low crime, I know many people who live in the subdivision. Hendersonville is definatly not a declining area and is actually growing rapidly with many new developments like the Streets of Indian Lake.

Agreed...I don't know that neighborhood specifically, but in general Hendersonville is a desirable place to live. I will say that parts of the "peninsula" (Sanders Ferry/Walton Ferry area) are a little rundown, yet there are other parts that are brand new and look great. So you might just drive around the entire area and see what you think.

As long as the neighboring subdivisions are well kept, I wouldn't hesistate moving there. Good luck!
