I'm not sure I understand the "A lack of restaurants that cater to a gay clientele also seemed to be a common complaint" comment in the post above. Bars I can understand; they tend to be places where people mingle. But in restuarants most people seem to keep to the group they came with. I'm not sure why there's a need for "gay restaurants" . . . unless maybe the waitors in the other restaurants aren't wearing leather. Maybe someone should start the Hillsboro Village People Restaurant . . . the waitors could dress up like cowboys and construction workers and policemen. "It's fun to eat at the H-V-P-R, It's fun to eat at the H-V-P-R." ;-)

Moderator cut: cut textAlleycat - I'm still laughing. GLTB crowd - hurry up. We need more spots like the outside terrace at Red. Great place. There is still empty spaces on Church displaying random new cars - could you take care of this (grin)?

Well, not exactly. Did you know TN had the deciding vote in giving women the right to vote? They all went into the Capital to vote in Nashville, wearing roses, in red and Yellow. It looked like it would not ratify, but one young congressmen received a telegram from his mom saying to vote yes, he did, broke the tie, and it was ratified, giving Women the right to Vote.
Other Southern states voted no, but TN had the deciding vote.
I recently visited the state Capital.

What are the best small towns near Nashville to Move to that are more GAY FRIENDLY?
I currently live in Harding place, but want to move out into a smaller town nearby in which that I can afford to buy a home or condo for under $100;000.
I moved for Clarksville, TN about 6 months ago, and just want a good smaller town atmospere with close commute to Nashville,TN. Any suggestions please????

My husband and I are looking into the Hillsboro area as well; our long time best friends are a gay couple. They visit us several times a year, ever since we left Toronto, so it would be a bonus to be in a gay friendly area.....hey.....maybe we'll be neighbors!!
