Here's a clip of Nektar at the Power Station in '81, playing a song from their 1980 album Man in the Moon. It was their last album till they regrouped for The Prodigal Son 20 years later.
So this was released in 1979, the re-released a year later in 1980, where it briefly charted. A punk/post-punk/wave sound, although those stage moves from the lead singer, Pearl Harbor, aka Pearl E. Gates... what is that?
He was better known for "Fool (If You Think It's Over)" from 1978, but Chris Rea's 1989 Road to Hell album produced "Texas" and the title track (two versions below). Very underrated artist.
