Never posted! Live clip of Brit glam rockers Girl playing the first song off their 1980 debut Sheer Greed.
Girl's most known for being lead guitarist Phil Collen's original band, before being lured away by Joe Elliott to join Def Leppard as Pete Willis' replacement. Girl fans were teed off, but we got Pyromania out of that deal!
After Girl disbanded, singer Phil Lewis turned up a few years later in L.A. Guns.
This is a cool song. Check out Phil's solo! You don't hear that kind of stuff in today's new young rock bands. What gives?
Billy Joel (like Linda Ronstadt, Pat Benatar, and even Alice Cooper) went through a New Wave period in the early 80s. Heard this never-posted yesterday driving home from DFW, "Sometimes a Fantasy".
