This 1979 lp was the group's third and most fully realized album(which also spawned a monstrous hit which is still heard today). Curiously, though a R&B type of group, at the end of a song a woman is heard whispering "te quiero, papi".

Name the group and album

It's gotta be Chic's "Risque" album. I wasn't into that sort of music then, but became a fan of both Nile Rodgers and Tony Thompson in later years which brought me back to some of their earlier work. Good album.

**I've recently become a fan of Rodgers/Edwards and have been buying CD's of older albums that were produced by them like Sister Sledge and Diana Ross. I am glad i did. One Sister Sledge album(All American Girls, 1981), not produced by Rodgers/Edwards but by some guy named Narada Michael Walden, surpasses even We Are Family in catchiness. A total masterpiece!

Narada Michael Walden was the drummer with John McLaughlin on the Apocalypse album. It's an incredible album, being jazz-rock fusion with the London Symphony Orchestra. Walden was a great drummer, and of course McLaughlin (with Jean-Luc Ponty on electric violin!) just absolutely plays his tail off. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Default is he

John Mclaughlin from the Mahavishnu orchestra? Also, is Apocalypse an album by mclaughlin or Walden or Luc-Ponty or do you mean Apocalypse Now soundtrack(I'm somewhat of a jazz fan but I don't follow these guys)

Didi you ever hear Manhattan Transfer's Swing CD from 1997? They had Asleep At The Wheel and Django Reinhardt as guests who played violin on several of their tracks
