I've always liked this one, from the late 60's. Why? Because it makes me smile

Child Is Father to the Man - Blood Sweat & Tears

That was funny with them holding ''Dummies'' of themselves.

I've always like the 1970's album cover ''No Mean City'' by Nazareth.

Led Zeppelin's "Physical Graffitti". Always thought the package was cool because you could change the photos in the buildings windows. Kind of a interactive thing. What was on the inside didn't suck either.

The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper was interesting, fun trying to figure out who all the guest celebrities were, people like Sonny Liston, Mae West, Fred Astaire, Bob Dylan, etc., and then looking for all the signs that were supposed to mean that Paul had died in a car accident, the bloody racing glove, the grave site.
Also the Beatles, in one of their early album covers used only in Europe, but banned in the States, showed them with bloody baby doll parts.

Still have the jacket to Jethro Tull's Stand Up, always loved the woodcut art and how the band "stands up" when you open the cover.

Cream, Wheels of Fire had lots of trippy illustrations

Zephyr, a not-so-well-known Colorado band, had a beautiful 20's-30's vintage-style cover for their Sunset Ride album. Vintage is popular now, but not so much back in the 70's.

The 1985 album Around The World In A Day by Prince was a great one. Sort of a take-off on Sgt. Pepper.

Heart's album Dog and Butterfly.

John Denver's, Back Home Again.

The Beatles, Yellow Submarine, Abbey Road, and Rubber Soul.

Janis Joplin's, Pearl.

Bette Midler's album covers with pop art drawings of her on the cover-WOW!

Oh I didn't even have to think to answer this one. My answer is nothing fancy or anything but it is my favorite.

Carly Simon
No secrets

When that came out in 1972 the cover was a bit risky. I guess I cant say what was sticking out but you know the scoop. What teenage boy of the day dont remember salivating over that cover. Remember now, in the early 70s even the nastiest porno magazines showed not very much skin.

Oh and man can she sing too......
