I know video killed the radio star (though I think Clear Channel holds more responsibility) but some music videos are pretty good.

Favorites:

Gary Jules: Mad World (Very creative, took a lot of work..."The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I ever had" is a perfect line for Donnie Darko)

A-ha: Take On Me
(the animation was incredible, once again, this took a lot of work, I really wanted to be that girl, take his hand, and jump on in)

Beastie Boys: Sabotage (those guys always had such a good sense of humor, plus I always liked how they had such smokin' musical elements in their spoken word stuff)

All of these are available on YouTube.

What are your favorites? Any good ones to recommend?

I enjoy watching My Chemical Romance videos, in particular "Helena" and "Welcome to the Black Parade".

Weezer has a few fun ones, including "Buddy Holly" & "Keep Fishin'".

The song "Mad World" was originally done by Tears for Fears, I think sometime in the late '80's.

Thanks Callie. I wonder whatever happened to Tears for Fears?
Anyway, I sure do think that Jules' video is well done. It must have taken a long time to film, and more than a little practice before they ever went in front of the camera.

I did like Jules' version of the song-he has a strange haunting sound to his voice and after seeing "Donnie Darko" that song was stuck in my head for days!!
