But seriously, she DOES have talent, but she's wasting it singing some of the cheesiest Euro disco songs I've heard in years. I would love to see her branch out and do some music that has real soul and that won't sound dated in 5 years.

I agree with this. The video is cool, but in my opinion, the music does not match the cool factor of the video. If I had listened to this song on the radio, I would not have expected to see a video with such theatrics. The song and lyrics are just kind of bland. I kind of compare her to Bjork. Both women are creative, but unlike Lady Gaga, I feel like Bjork's talent is seen in all aspects of her brand: her music, her videos, her public persona. It all fits together. For some reason, there is a disconnect with Lady Gaga.

Ooh, don't ever put Lady Gaga in the same sentence as Bjork! Lady Gaga doesn't have 1/10 of the talent that Bjork has. Bjork's music may take a little bit more work to get into, but she has plenty of catchy songs, and unlike Lady Gaga's music, Bjork's music has depth and real emotion. Lady Gaga's music just sounds so phony and contrived by comparison.
