This was Ruffin's last song that he recorded before killing himself by purposely overdosing on cocaine in a crack house in Philly. Hard to believe that it was an accident and I don't believe he was that stupid. I'm intrigued by this tormented man. The drugs and internal battle that was going on inside him, I can hear in his voice in this song. He's older too, but compared to earlier songs, gone is the soul, the power, the range, the feeling. He's a shell of his former self here. This last song is appropriate given that there were rumors that he was abusive to the women in his life. Must've really torn him up inside that one of those women, Tammi Terrell, died of a brain tumor, sometime after their allegedly abusive relationship. The man had a beautiful voice at one time, but he must've been a monster privately, enraged and tormented. These are my thoughts as I listen to this song. Nice song too.

Default Jad & Den Quintet - Love to Love you baby

Jad&Den Quintet - Love to love you baby

YouTube - Love to love you baby

strolling thru villages... tasting wines and
olives... native local dishes... laughs at
darlin's first taste of a prickly pear... seeks
native wild orchid gardens together...ah
Andalusia!

Eyes smiles as she marvels at the mirror orchid
that looks like a doll in costume... takes
numerous hayrides as dappled sunlight drapes
her face and hair aglow thru parasol... rich
smells of hay cushion us as we arrive to
my next surprise destination...

off from cart... we leave the sun-drenched hills
entering a small dark but cool, jazz club where
tango music is played... secures us a good
sitting table and orders cold drinks...

Eyes briefly glance at darlin as music starts...
wonders if i could dance without breaking any...

"Sir... might we try something within confin..."

:: up in a flash... leading the way!... heart
racing fast... exhilaration floods... dare I
breathe or question what she means... stops...
abruptly turns to Ms. Cellie's almost collision
... right behind... ::

:: her eyes... such eyes my unborn children
shall have!... fills with suppressed laughter...
grins sheepishly at her... bends and whispers ::
... I guess me kinda anxious no?...

:: ...her burst of giggles... then she smiles a
smile of gentle indulgence... ah Heaven! ... she
twirls slowly before me... ends with her back
arched to me... Mercy!! ... slowly raises hands
above her head... fingers graceful... turns face
to side as if to gauge my response...

my response! My

Gosh!...

:: raging hotness tears... nostrils flares...
aggression threatens to break free... eyes
flash and instantly my hand shoots up ... claps
a rhythmic slow ache... passion ... then faster
and faster... as if saying ye dare to come
closer woman?... come closer then!

... wild yelps rain from gathered crowd... quick
powerful stomps of right foot...emotion floods
pure and white-hot!... pleasure sweeps!

searing veins and senses!... throws head back...
body stretches taut... curves lower torso to
her... holds tight... a Matador!

... my last conscious memory before surrender...
before possession within love's passionate dance
was... ::

Mr. MMC... you're wanted at... :: groans loudly...
quickly writes..::

Be grateful for time given to family and friends!
Be grateful for the love that comes into your life
thru them... Never take either for granted...
whether in flesh... or other realms... for all
create the memory by which, shall comfort ye
with laughter or torture with regretful tears once
the bloom of youth and age of maturity have passed...

:: prepares for real quickly... blows a kiss
to any who needs one today and quickly moves
down steps... mind already in world of real... ::

Default Eddie Kendricks

Guess I'm in a Motown mood. I always loved this song. Happy with soul, which describes me. I've come to the conclusion that if you don't have Motown in your heart, you have no soul.

I hear ya Synopsis... in fact the reason I love
Taxman is because of the Bass part! ... Is
there any other Bass parts of songs you enjoy?

I am quite the bass lover here... chuckle...
whether in dance music... house, funk or
Beatles! LOL .... am anxious to hear what
you like... hoping to discover a song or
two that escaped my notice... smile...

I heard a story once that Berry Gordy would
ask his staff if they would fore-go lunch
money in order to buy a record of a
featured Motown performer just to
determine.... mind you... determine...
if the song was good enough to go to
market... thats a pretty good measure of
whether a song is good... so all the songs
we hear from that period came from such
a measurement if the story is true...

No wonder that sound is known thru-out
the World...
