The song is about British and American men coming home from Nam either fu***D up in the head or strung out junkies!

I remember in the early 70's hearing this on the radio. Us kids always got a hoot out of it because the word butt was used. lol if we only knew what was to come. It even shows a 45 record being played.
This song just came up on my disc and I had to chuckle at this line....
