OKAY! OKAY!!

I know people will crap on me but I can't lie, I've gotten bit by Drake or "Drizzy Drake". Sure, he's not the greatest rapper ever. I'm not even the biggest rap/hip-hop afficianado but I am definitely more into the hardcore, gangsta, underground, death and "concious"/political rap.

I don't mind a little mainstream rap songs and/or artisit here or there though. Recently, I've been listening to a lot of Drake tunes. When he first popped into the hip-hop scene I thought he was one of those actors trying their stint in the music industry so I pretty much wrote him off because we know how that goes sometimes.

In my opinion though, Drake isn't half bad, half bad at all. Heck, I'll say out of the "Young Money" clique, I think him and Nicki Minaj are the most talented rappers (Lil'Wayne is so overrated to me, SORRY!). I was in my cousins car going on a little trip and she slipped in Drake's album "Take Care". As I was listening to the CD, I loved his beats and I've fallen victim to the song "Marvins Room" and "Club Paradise". Unlike most rappers, I think he mixes up his rapping/rhyming pretty well with the singing (Kanye West and Lil'Wayne, take note, rather, don't sing at all). A lot of the beats on his songs are smooth and rhymatic and have like this weird euphoric feeling to it. He has some typical party rap songs but some of his songs are also pretty personal (I guess I can say, I'm not great at describing how music sounds). Sure, some might argue he can be somewhat repetitive but what rapper isn't rapping about the samething? Right?

Anyway, I'm not saying he's the best rapper to ever live and I don't want anyone to take that out of context but he's surprised me and I really don't mind listening to Drakes music. In other words-I'm a fan of Drake .

Well, I know we'll have some old cranky, wanky, poopy pants who's heads will spin like the exorcist because they don't know who the hell this Drake guy is and light this place up in fire because it's about a rapper when they want to discuss "real music". For those who understand and know what I am talking about please sound off and give your opinions. The old cranky, wanky, poopy pants-BACK OFF!!

Thanks!

Drake sucks. He can't flow to a beat i.e. hip hop basics.

He's got at least some talent. But his new song with Nicki is trash....
I'm cool with Drizzy doing hooks and stuff, but I generally don't like his rapping.

Which song with Nicki Minaj Snexw_46? I kind of like "Moment for life". Thought it was decent, I like the beat a lot more though. Unless you're talking about another song.

Drake is an okay rapper sometimes, and then other times he's just bad. So, overall, I'd say he's pretty mediocre just like his mentor, Lil' Wayne. Here's Drake failing at freestyle:

Here's a great parody of that:
