I find it super amusing how people will disregard and condemn a song simply because of the genre in which it's played.
Of course everyone has their favorite genres, but some people will discount a song with great lyrics simply BECAUSE of the genre.

For example:
People who would NEVER listen to Nine Inch Nails may actually love the song "HURT"(or only know it)when sung by Johnny Cash.


There are tons of songs covered by artists in different genres.
What are some of your favorites?

As an aside, just think if Johnny Cash's song Delia was made into a hip hop song.....it would probably be banned! Although, I could see Eminem redoing that one.
