Ok, this is one of those bands that I am soooo happy to hear yet so bummed that I never heard them before! Wow, this is good stuff! Why did I have to be 6 then!
What is so cool is that is when that type of groove was just starting out, it was so new to them.

Another new one, Breakstra, I like! I want to see Orgone, stumbled on them a last year but forgot about them, thanks!
oh my! i'm so envious { not really giggles } that Hilgi and D217 saw in flesh
some of these bands... my parents were great collectors of jazz...
i have fond memories of being called over to listen to a particular rendition of
a horn section etc... the hours spent, annoyed when interrupted for supper,
etc... fond memories! Free time up ... Wave, slipping backpack on
I know you said no Phish ...but....maybe, I include?
Tube Top Tony ~ Trey Anastasio
Sunset Cruising in Austin Tx - YouTube
Video made me a little *dizzy* (couldn't even watch) but....liked the song.
heard first randomly Youtubing videos of Amherst, ma....
Was surprised as I saw Phish, or, at least sat outside park concert in Eugene, never got into them, frankly. Didn't understand the appeal...but...whatever floats yr boat. Sitting outside on concert, with friends, listening in, doesn't really make a good judge. lol...
P.S.
This thread is gonna be great...if previous posts are any indication...
In the mid 00's I was driving to San Fran listening to a station on XM (no longer on), they played great stuff, I heard this and flipped but I didn't catch the name. I emailed the host and he wrote me back with all the info.
