The Dark Knight and Iron Man are the only two in recent years that I find I can watch over and over and not get tired of them. Both are great, almost flawless movies.

I absolutely loved the first half-hour or so of the original Superman. That first half-hour is one of the best comic-book movies ever made. But the last 2/3 of the movie kind of lost me, because the villain was so underwhelming.

Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 were both lots of fun.

But I didn't like the 1989 Batman at all. I think there must be a gene or something that allows people to like Tim Burton movies, and I must be missing that gene.

X-Men and X2 were also both really good. But like the Spider-Man films, the third one fell to pieces.

But if by "comic book movies" you mean stories inspired by super-heroes, then you also have to include The Incredibles (one of the best movies ever made) and Unbreakable, which is one of the few super-hero movies made for adults.

I also liked both of the Hulk movies from recent years.

I would pick Superman, based on it shows when he was born sent off and grew up with the kents and shows him growing up as a man. did pretty well in the box office as well. that one has my vote.

Do Mystery Men, Toxic Avenger or Darkman count?

Regardless of all the kick-.ss CGI and star power of the more recent Super Hero movies, I second Jamer; original Superman made in impact on me like no other movie of its kind. Original Hulk was also similar but not as powerful.

And on a side note, I particularly enjoyed the drama angle Watchmen put on Super Hero types. I really liked that movie minus Dr. Manhattan's blue ding dong swinging all over the place.

I agree with this and also the first Batman with Keaton. Being a child of the 60's it was refreshing to see these characters portrayed as they should have been, not as they were on the TV shows. Especially Batman.

I did also like the Dark Knight and understand that it is closer to the original comic book. My son is into all that and he was the one that recommended the Dark Knight to us.

Spiderman I
Superman I (Christopher Reeves)
Ironman-can't wait for seconds

And oh, kill me...Flash Gordon (1980)...I know, it was bad, but I enjoyed it because I was a kid and I liked the colors.

Agree with Superman.
Also, I don't normally like M. Keaton, but the first Batman was quite well done, IMO.
