Today I was thinking back to a few movies from when I was a kid that I loved at the time and probably would still enjoy watching today even though they actually were pretty bad.

1980 Flash Gordan...He'll save everyone of us! Go Flash Go!

1982 The BeastMaster...The courage of an eagle, the strength of a panther, and the power of a god. Caw caw caw "He is the Beastmaster!"

1986 Labyrinth...Where everything seems impossible and nothing is what it seems. David Bowie in a Jim Henson film... can you imagine it!

Can you think of others?

The Gumball Rally. My friends and I saw it over and over again in the summer of 1976 for a buck. Sometimes we'd see it twice for the same buck.

Rollerball. Not the remake, the original with James Caan. It pops up on cable now and then. What a hoot.

I'm a sucker for 1950s sci-fi flicks - the cheesier the better.

I thought of another one...

1986 Solarbabies...In a future in which most water has disappeared from the Earth a group teens on rollerskates will save the world!

Your movie qualifies on all accounts for me, I was born in 75' so anything from the 80's is good enough for me.

You reminded me of another one...

1983 Eddie and the Cruisers...Rebel, Rocker, Lover, Idol, Vanished...

I thought you were talking old..like the 30s and 40s...those are my faves.

The Ten Commandments always cracks me up - it's got to be the campiest movie behind Mommie Dearest.

Also Xanadu is a very strange movie, but if you skip the movie and just listen to the soundtrack it's pretty good.
