I would think so...like "Nightmare Before Christmas".

Yeah, Great Mouse Detective. That movie used to really scare me as a kid, it was kind of dark.

My mom absolutely loves Beauty and The Beast.

The Rescuers is also good. I used to know all the words.

In the theater, I laughed so hard I got a stomach ache.
But when we rented the extended version, my (adult) son wouldn't let me see the sex scene.

Anyone ever see this one?
It's not the kind of animated film where you feel all giggly/giddy afterward.

Grave of the Fireflies

I can't rep you again - but ditto for me in an even more intense way because the character who goes under the super secret plastic surgery is a dead ringer for my brother-in-law, and his personality fits the bill too. The movie is hysterical and so well written - my son and I still sing 'the song' whenever my BIL comes up in conversation!
