This movie is SOOOOO good it is actually scary how good it is. An absolute work of art in every regard. Mood, camera angles, dialogue, casting, scenery, sounds, TANGERINE DREAM soundtrack!!!. Not 1 ounce of B.S. in this film. It is all heart & soul. Caan at his absolute best. Prosky at his absolute best, Belushi at his absolute best ( his 1st role!!!). Prosky was so good in this its hard to believe. If I'm not mistaken it was his 1st role as well. Unbelievable. A film like this comes around once in a lifetime. Michael Mann is a genius. An absolute Einstein Genius with a film. Too see it on the big screen again was a real gift.
Find the ORIGINAL 1st day theatrical release if you can & buy it or rent it. It has scenes that were cut out a week later due to the Feds saying there were heist details that were too realistic & intricate.
This movie could be used as a course in film class as how to do a complete project the right way.
Get it, pop a massive bowl of popcorn, a cooler of your fave beverage on ice next to you & sit back & enjoy an absolute masterpiece. Life was meant for these moments.
