Lost Horizon is another good film, and also a good book. I haven't read Random Harvest in a while, but I think Charles Ranier was supposed to be fairly young at the beginning of the story. However, he was an officer so he wasn't exactly 17 or anything. Also, if I remember correctly, the entire story in the book takes places over at least a decade, if not several decades. By the end Ranier would have been pretty close to Colman's age in the movie.

And I agree, Greer Garson has an amazing voice! Actually, Ronald Colman has an awesome voice, too!

I'm trying to reserve judgement until I see Big Hero 6, but...Princess Kaguya is a freaking masterpiece. It's one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen. So I'm having a hard time imagining Big Hero Six deserved the Oscar over Kaguya. Although I'm really not surprised, either. If Pixar or Disney are nominated, no one else really has much of a chance, no matter how good they are.

Big Hero 6, great movie. Very dark in storyline and surprisingly more of a family movie than you would expect with it being adapted from a Marvel comic.

"Altered States".....had seen it a time or two before, but decided to watch it again over a few days.

Before that, "A New Leaf" (a many time watched favorite)
