Watched 42 for the first time last night. At first I though, oh god, not another civil rights movie, and thought seriously about stopping it. Got it as a DVD from Netflix. If it had been steaming, probably would have stopped it. But glad I stuck with it. Turned out to be a real heart-warmer with regard to how the team pulled together. Also Harrison Ford was amazing. Almost wouldn't have recognized him. First time I've seen him play a role where he didn't capitalize on his signature grin, etc. His voice, body language, totally different. Plus, they obviously changed his nose for the role, but in this case it wasn't just the usual actor with a different nose, he was really a different persona. Seriously, I was very impressed with his performance. And I love a good underdog story, so was great overall.
The Divorce of Lady X (1938), on TCM. Merle Oberon, Laurence Olivier. Funny movie. Lawyer gets room. Lady gets stranded at hotel after ball due to fog. Rooms with Lawyer. Lawyer later thinks her husband is getting divorced due to finding out about the hotel sleep over. Oh and I just crawled out from under my rock to realize these two were in Wuthering Heights.
